Eve launches new clothing line
Rapper and actress Eve Jihan Jeffers is relaunching her clothing line, Fetish.
Fetish by Eve first debuted back in 2003 but the brand was unexpectedly cancelled due to multiple problems between the rapper and partnering company, INNOVO GROUP. Three conflicts made public by the rapper and Fetish sources were production materials, retail delivery, and Eve's dislike for the design direction.
"[Fetish] was a very juniors line and I didn't want to wear it," Eve said to reporters. "They were like 'more branding, we need "Fetish" on the chest, give us some rhinestones.' And I was like, 'No, I'm not wearing that," said Eve in 2004.
The relaunch of Fetish will reflect the Philadelphia born rapper's new sense of womanhood, sexiness, and class. "The new concept is gonna be me, more grown-up. It will reflect more of my style" said Eve.
Hesitant to bring the Fetish line back out, Eve only agreed to do it because an exceptional partner and fashion idealist came along. That partnering company is Signature Apparel.
“I always liked the Fetish name and admired Eve’s style,” says Chris Laurita, president of Signature Apparel.
Eve stressed to Laurita she wanted the “new product to be upgraded with better fabrics, modern styling and more fashionable pieces.”
The result is a full young contemporary sportswear collection, that includes leather jackets, oversize sweaters, high-waisted denim jeans and skirts, leather pants, wool plaid shorts and a few logo t-shirts. The Fetish clothing brand is looking to stay away from overly saturating the designs with the brand name.
Fetish by Eve will be previewed on SoJones.com's fashion discussion board as photos are made public. Requests for the brand can also be left for public review on the Hip Hop clothing industry site's forum or Fetish news article page.
Let's just hope that the dress she had on at the awards is not apart of that line.
Thinking Back/Reflections of the BET Awards
It's been a little while since I have posted anything, life has began to get so busy as I encounter the challenges of trying to start my own Fashion & Beauty PR Company,I am currently working on a relaunch for Pink Diamond (stay tuned) and continue to work full time. I am consistently trying to come up with new, innovative ideas and new ventures to be involved in.
I thought about this time last year, when I attended the BET Awards in L.A. and I was so excited to be in the presence of all those celebrities, athletes, and millionaires. I came back home with my motivation through the roof, thinking that next year (being now) I would be where I want to be. Of course I am not yet, but I can see the light at the end of tunnel. I am running into too many people, doing too many big things - not to accomplish my goals.
So when I turned on the BET Awards last night, I was excited yet sad. Since I occasionally work for awards shows doing PR work, I know all of the behind the scenes stuff that most people don't know about. Putting together gift bags, the politics of the Red Carpet, production troubles, dealing with managers, agents and publicists, coordinating the talent(celebrities), but with all of that drama - its still worth every minute to be apart of that.
I felt like I should have been there again this year. I kept beating myself up - wondering why I did'nt try harder to get there. While I was watching the awards, its almost like - I wasn't watching the awards, I was too busy daydreaming about all of the things that could be going on behind the scenes and thinking to myself - Damn - I should have been there. But, no matter what - y'all know I get the scoop for all hot and sexy styles at the awards.
Take a look:
Rhianna is looking absolutely beautiful in a white strapless dress. I really like Amerie's dress as well. I wonder when her next album is coming out? I heard it was supposed to be soon. I think Ashanti looked amazing too, I think she was one of the best dressed people at the awards. Has anybody used Queen Latifah's makeup collection through Cover Girl? I seen the ad last night, and thought it was pretty good.
Look at Patti Labelle!! I love her dress, it does look a bit futuristic - but its gorgeous and she's Patti so she can do it. I promise you - Patti Labelle, Dianna Ross, Chaka Kahn - they look so good. They make me proud to be a black woman!
I think Ciara looks really pretty, she admitted that she did not like her dress at all. I wonder why? Eve should be the smacking the s$*& out of her stylist and so should Vivica Fox. What went wrong?
Of course - America's favorite Beyonce was looking sexy as always.....
What's up Lil Kim? I am so happy to see you!!! Bring the music back, we missin you out here!
What a hot mess.... Im sorry - I guess I just expected better from these two. I really hate to say that about Vivica Fox though. That's my homegirl. I met her when Two can Play that game came out on 106 & Park. (Yes I was on the show, not in the audience) and she complimented me and my friend's outfits. I knew then she had style. Oh well - I guess we all mess up sometimes.

Dream Shopping Excursion at Grand Canal Shoppes - Venetian Hotel
Hence the word "Dream". I could not afford one thing in this hotel, except probably the quarter slot machines. It was nice to window shop and see whats out there though. It's also good to see what designs will probably be copied and sold next (LOL).
One of my favorite stores here was Lior. They had some of the baddest designer shoes, dresses and jeans I have ever seen. Lior is a contemporary clothing store for men and women that carries designs from Gianfranco Ferre, Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni and more. The designer names alone will tell you that, I could'nt afford a thing in there. My friend Kim tried on a dress, that the owner of the boutique claimed to have created for Beyonce for an awards show. The dress was $6000.00.
Some of the other stores that I really liked was Amore - an upscale European boutique that carries sleepwear and swimwear, Gandini - an Italian apparel and accessories store for men and women, & Privilege - another high-end European Boutique that carries exclusive designer labels such as Isabella Fiore, Francesco Biasca & Carla Mancini.
Because some of these designs are so "exclusive" some of the boutique owners were reluctant about me taking photos. So here are some of the shoes that I thought were very sexy. These were all taken at boutiques in the Venetian Hotel.
With all of the expensive stores in Vegas, none of which I could actually buy the things that I wanted - I was happy to find a Bijoux Terner accessory boutique where everything in the store was $10.00!

Vegas Fashion Scene
Hi guys!!! I apologize for not posting in a while. Life got so busy for me. I took on another PR Project with Showcolumbus (details later), and have been focused on continuing my PR journey. I got off track for a while, but now your girl is back and you know that I got the 411 on the Fashion Scene in Vegas.
So we all know that the thing to wear this summer is dresses. Its hot outside and dresses are comfortable, feminine and sexy. Well in Vegas - it was 102 degrees the whole time I was there. I was there roasting yall! Hey I don't care anything about whether it was wet or dry heat - It was hot as hell! Period!!
Well the hot weather did not stop the Vegas ladies from stylin. Everywhere I looked, I seen styles that were so hot - I just wanted to run up to people and take pictures. However, i didn't wanna risk looking like the paparazzi, so I took a quick mental note of everything I liked and then I went on a mission to see what Vegas had to offer.
One of the first places that we stopped at was Fashion Show Mall on the strip. Since I am from Ohio and we don't have an abundance of boutique/high end fashion stores, I was pretty impressed by some of the things that I saw. The very first store that I went to was the Betsey Johnson store. I have always been a big fan of Betsey Johnson designs. They are so colorful, fun and wild. My only issue is that, if I bought something really wild - I wouldn't have anywhere to wear it. Lately, I've been bored with the nightlife and if you are not going to the clubs, there is really nothing else to do. So, every Saturday night I look at all the fly clothes in my closet and just wonder when I will ever be ever to wear them.
Betsey Johnson designs:
I left out the Betsey Johnson store and then headed to Marciano (www.marciano.com). Marciano had some hot tops and fly dresses. I remember seeing a couple of girls in the Casino with them on, and looked really sexy on them. Unfortunately, the prices were pretty steep, so I did not buy anything. I continued on my shopping excurison and found French Connection UK (www.fcuk.com), Nurielle Haute Couture (www.nurielle.com) and MetroPark (www.metroparkusa.com). All of which had some pretty trendy things.
