Pink Diamond Style of the week..................Caught looking FLY!!

In 2006 I started this blog to talk about my love for fashion, beauty, entertainment and my journey into PR. I talk about trends that I love, new products on the market, fashion and beauty news, and women with style who inspire me. I named my blog Pink Diamond - because a Pink Diamond is a beautiful diamond that is different from the rest. It's unique, it's rare, it's trendy, it's classy. It's me!

Everyone looks at different places for style inspiration. For me, my style inspiration comes from a variety of sources - magazines, movies, music, my mother, my friends, my environment and my city.

Every week, in addition to reporting on fashion and beauty - I am going to start recognizing women who exemplify the true meaning of "Pink Diamond Style".

The first Diamond Style award goes to Akilah Wallace!

I absolutely love how this outfit was put together. One thing about me is that I LOVE COLOR!! I love the combination of the vivid pink, silver, black and red. The silver pencil skirt to match is perfect! Also note the accessories. It's only right that she's on the red carpet!!

Akilah wasn't just chosen because of her keen eye for style. She was chosen because she is a young professional woman, who is deeply involved with her community and a great role model for women. Having Diamond style is not just about your appearance, but it's about what you represent.

Most importantly a positive and confident attitude helps to take any look to the next level... I love being a black woman and I love the beautiful black women in my life."
